Ophelia"s Death
Over the years Ophelia and I have been through a lot. The love of my life struggled during the end of her life. Many of you have different opinions about her death, but i know the real answer. Just before Ophelia past away she came to me while i was at rest in my room and told me she was heading toward a better place. Since I was half asleep i didn't think twice, I actually thought she was starting to brighten up. So a few momnets later, i looked outside and saw her skipping across the field towards the river. From my view, it seemed as if she prayed then jumped in the water. Ophelia was dead, she had killed herself in an instant. By the time i got out there, my mother already found her body. Her body was pale white and looked as cold as a winter night, but she did have a smile on her face. I am here to tell you that we should give her a proper burial. Ophelia felt that she did not belong here with us anymore and wanted to go to a happier place and i believe she did. We should all respect her decision and do it the right way. Thank you.

Hamlets Dilemma
I feel that Hamlet is making a smart decision because he wasnts to make sure that Claudius gets what he deserves. Claudius prays to get a clean soul, Hamlet wants him to rott in hell. When he plans to kill him, instead of using a knife he should use poison the same way that Claudius killed his father. People will not question a clean death, but if he is brutally murdered they will know Hamlet did it. That will alter his future, so hopefully he plans it out and gets away with it.

To be or Not to be
This may be one of the most famous speeches of all time. To me, Zeffirelli's version seems to be the best once again. Mel Gibson is a great actor and when a great actor and director combine in a film it becomes a great movie. The setting of the speech scene is crucial. Gibson is in the basement next to his father's grave. The entire speech is talking about his life and whether or not he should stay alive. His father meant a lot to him, it almost seemed like he was talking to him. The dark room and loneliness set the tone and mood of his feelings.
Another version that caught my attention was Branaugh's version. It was a lot different than the other versions because the director took it upon himself to change the original text. The room was bright and he was staring at himsef in the mirror. When you have to make tough decisions you look at yourself in the mirrror to find out what kind of person you actually are. While he is doing this his friends are behind the mirror istening which causes more drama to the scene. This version is creative and causes more tension i like it.

1st Hamlet entry
All three versions of Hamlet are well explained and clear. They get the point across, but in several different ways. My favorite version is Franco Zeffirelli's because i feel that the emotions, setting, and characters all play into the perfect role. Mel Gibson plays Hamlet very well. In the other versions the setting just doesn't seem right. When Hamlet and his father met on top of the castle i felt that it is appropriate because that is their home. His father ran the castle, so showing his ghost at the catsle shows that he is still in power even though he is gone.
I enjoyed the movies made by the directors, but if I were to make it I would change it up. When Hamlet meets his father i would make the father seem more spiritual and ghostly. I'd make him the same way as when he were alive, but floating and have a deadly look on his face so you know that his death was brutal. Also i feel that the auidance should have a better idea of their relationship so i would put more detail in the scene about their past. I am looking foward to the novel and can't wait to see what happens to Hamlet and his uncle
